The JDK includes tools useful for developing and testing programs written in the Java programming language and running on the Java TM platform. This is the open source project where we develop JavaFX. The JDK is a development environment for building applications using the Java programming language. It is a collaborative effort by many individuals and companies with the goal of producing a modern, efficient, and fully featured toolkit for developing rich client applications.
